When I stepped into my role as a newly appointed principal, I faced the daunting challenge of addressing declining school achievement scores that were approaching the threshold of state intervention. The demands of the job were overwhelming, and I knew I needed support.
Gratefully, I connected with a skilled leadership coach who became my objective thought partner, providing fresh perspectives, insightful guidance, and unwavering encouragement. This coaching journey became the catalyst for my growth as a leader and, most importantly, for our school's successful turnaround.
Inspired by the transformational impact of coaching, I am committed to providing effective leadership solutions and unwavering support for those courageous educational leaders who strive to reach ambitious school goals while navigating the challenges of the urban education landscape.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with over 100 school principals and aspiring principals across the country. My diverse background as a Deputy Chief of Schools, principal, assistant principal, and teacher allows me to draw from rich experiences in educational leadership.
Formally, I hold a doctorate degree in Urban Education Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago, a master’s degree in Education Administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Creighton University.
